I need change. Move forward. This will be my final post for this blog. I would be transferring to another domain. I just find it fitting that I would say my goodbyes as one year ended and start fresh as another year begins.

Before 2011 ended, Alex, Yj, Eman, Rei and I managed to synchronize our busy schedule and decided to get together in our favorite hangout... our rooftop.
Alex interviewing a letter sender via phone. She's a researcher for MMK for quite some time now and because I used to work in the same station, I know that when work calls, you drop everything.
Good thing I brought a book: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows which I'm reading only for the second time. I usually take advantage of Christmas vacations to read books that are not related to law. It puzzles me really how I can manage to read 200 pages, more or less, of Harry Potter book and memorize every scene (sometimes even the details) and not do the same for my law books. How? I mean, how? Hahahaha!
As usual, Rei arrived late. Hahahaha! But we love him still, though.
Because Alex has to work first, we played the Pambansang Laro. No, not sipa. PINOY HENYO!!! Boy, we are loud. Being the competitive people that we are we laughed, answered and asked like we own Starbucks. I was just waiting for the guards to lead us outside.
On our way home, riding a bus, we were surprised to see Eman sitting pretty inside the same exact bus. Ang galing! Fate is really telling us that we are friends! Yown!
A little while later, Tabs arrived. Coming from Pasay to Taytay, ALONE. Wow! I'm a proud friend!
During get togethers like this, Rei is the resident bartender who makes mojitos all the time. SARAP!
It was a night full of Pinoy Henyo, I-Have-Nevers, falling stars, stories, opinions and laughter. A night with these bunch is never dull. I have the best set of friends ever! To more roof top moments.

PS: I didn't get to take any pictures of the competition itself, so I'm being a parasite and relying on other people for pictures. Haha!
Despite the bloopers and the times when I didn't even know what I'm talking about, the Ateneo Moot court experience was super fun. I didn't get to win any award except new found friends, opportunities and another dream to add on my list.
The fact that my knees didn't give in as I stand and plead before a Supreme Court Justice is enough to make me proud of myself and Kat. The fact that we were able to open our mouth and answer Justice Sereno's question is a miracle.
This experience makes me want be better and dream a little bigger. The world is opening it arms and its up to me to embrace it. I will, world. I promise. You just have to be patient cause this little girl has a lot of catching up to do.

I'm drained. Period.
Adrenaline was probably the only thing that's keeping me going yesterday. I woke up feeling hung over except that I did not drink last night. My morning started with my head pounding like a thousand drums are beating simultaneously inside.
I'm drained. I really am.
I know a venti cup of really good coffee can pick me up in times of blah-ness but I felt the need to unload first. Unload the unnecessary stuff, rearrange my thoughts and prioritize. I'm probably thinking too much of the things I ought to get done. Even my writing doesn't seem to be organized.
I need to just be still. Be still.
Imagine yourself in the middle of four tornadoes. You get to have the choice as to which one will whip you away. But you'll get whipped either way. You hair will be all over the place, Your clothes tattered and really dirty. And soon after, you felt dizzy from all the whipping as you choose another one that will whip you next.
That's how I feel right now.
Anyway, I need to get a tattoo.
